Volunteer Opportunities

YLFT Mission: To benefit the lives of children and families living in insecure environments through after-school programs which provide academic, technical and moral training. Nurture the child; strengthen the family, rebuild the community.

Tutors

  • Training k-8 graders in academic disciplines, weekly classroom supervision and homework assistance in accordance with the YLLC after-school program

Mentors

  • Mentoring urban teens through relationships in godliness, moral character, and leadership
  • Personal commitment to a lifestyle of Christian godliness, morality and leadership to be emulated by students

Administrative Support

  • Assisting in regular clerical tasks
  • Creating and updating YLFT forms and publications

Transportation

  • Assisting during field trips

Miscellaneous

  • Maintenance, cleaning, and grounds/beautification upkeep
  • Grant writing/researching
  • Event planning
  • Catering for events or fundraisers
